Why Lakewood Pride Exists

Lakewood Pride: Building Bridges exists to create visible, welcoming spaces where LGBTQ+ people know they belong.

Through community partnerships, advocacy, and public engagement, we work to build bridges across differences and advance social justice in our city. We bring people together—neighbors, businesses, institutions, and allies—to create a Lakewood where dignity, safety, and belonging are not conditional, but expected.

Our work is rooted in connection, consistency, and care. By showing up again and again, we help ensure that LGBTQ+ people and our allies can live openly, safely, and with the full support of their community.
